I have been able to get out a couple of times in the last few days and found 4 different civil war bullets. The field I'm hunting use to be plowed for years for a tobacco patch and I think I have got most of the surface to about 8 or 9 inch depth. I noticed the other day that a bullet was deep at the bottom of the hole and had fell out of the plug. I ran my detector across the plug with nothing and back across the hole with a mixture between a good signal and iron. I picked the bullet out of the hole which was around 12 inches deep. I then ran coil back across the hole with no signal at all. So im guessing that my coil did not identify the bullet correctly at a greater depth. I'm getting these type signals all over the field. I ordered the 12x10 sef butterfly coil today hopeing that I would get greatewr depth and ID on these bullets and possibly more buttons and coins. Does anyone have this coil and can ya tell a difference on an mxt?
