Hi, anyone got an idea? Found this the other day. Put the penny in just for scale. Back is smooth, appears to be made of copper. Small, was hard to find. At first I thought it was a head off a nail till I made out the tree. Thanks

:thinkingabout: Hmmm It kinda looks like a button
Any chance we can get a look at the back?
Maybe it's part of a 2 piece button? :dontknow:

Back is smooth. No sign of anything being attached.

Cody, I found a gilt glove button that was that size...but had a shank (until I broke it off). 8/
People here will not only tell you what it is, they'll have 17 laying around the house.
Good luck.

I know you think it might be copper, but am curious if it's magnetic.

Hi
Here is a picture of the back. It is not magnetic.
Thanks.

Could be a desert road sign for a post indicating where a tree was planted thumbsup01

I can't be of any real help but that design reminds me of the early MA coins, oak tree, pine tree. Hope someone will chime in with the answer.

I found it in a yard of an early 1900 house. Only other finds were a buffalo, no date. And a 1957 wheat.

It looks like a cuff button to me, it may have had another piece somehow applied to the back. :thinkingabout:
