View Full Version : Third buffalo and third JFK half

I hit the small park in town yesterday and got just $1.15 in clad. So today it was back to the iceskating park. I detected a bit at one side of the park as there were kids from a local school there playing football. Then i decided to hunt the strip outside the fence betwen the road and the sidewalk. That is where i found the Kennedy half! That is the third JFK half i have found. (no silver ones yet)
I also hit a couple quarters over there and they were deep. But not silver either. (1965 + 1966)
After doing one side of the strip i decided to call it a day and would make one trip the length of the park back to my truck. That's when i hit my third buffalo from here. No date that i can make out. But a keeper anyhow! Total take for today was $2.45 including four wheaties 40,46,47-D and 53-D.

Nice hunt and congrats on the half-dollar. With all the clad that I've found, I have yet to find a half.

Very nice hunt, and I for one don't mind digging a little clad. Nice Wheaties and the Buffalo make for a good day. Congrats. :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

Yeah those Buffs are hit or miss with the dates :dontknow: 8/ lol

Congrats on the buffalo. Some clad always makes the hunt better. 3 Kennedys is great because in my opinion there are not many 1/2 dollars lost. You'll get a silver one someday.

The first silver coin i ever found was a SLQ. The second was a walker. Now i'm waiting for a barber or seated half or a monster silver dollar. :crazy:

Congrats on the Kennedy half, a coin that doesn't turn up too often!

Good job on the buffalo nickel too!
