well 9 am I said let me make a bee line back to the house i hunted yesterday before the snow comes.at 12 noon it started and packed it in.3 hour hunt and I made the best of it.
1st target was a very cool colonial octagon shaped cloak or dandy button.never dug one like this before so even if this was all i dug today i woulda been happy.but the targets kept poppin! 2 convex 1 piece buttons came next.one plain the other with a basket weave pattern. next target was a 60ish vdi at 6 inches.expectin a button a copper surfaced.I think i can see a date of 17 93? split date with harp & crown over it. KGIII hibernia?
a big brass lamp top was next.a 1887 IH,a few wheaties 1909,1911,1967-D then a sweet silver signal at 4 inches and the marked sterling brooch saw the light of day.only the pin is broke and was a great way to end the day!
any ideas on the lathe turned disc? maybe an intended button not yet complete?
