It's been two day without electricity because of the massive snow storm. :frozen:Boy, It was bitterly cold. I felt like a cave man without the modern conveniences. Anyway, I wanna tell y'all about my elephant ear coil aka 15x2 SEF! I did some detecting today at a park in Holyoke Massachusetts that that was pounded to death by detectorists, I even gave up on that park long ago. I want to see if the dumbo coil is justified. There were a good 4 inches of snow cover on top of the soil to begin with. I swing that monster for an hour and I got 3 keepers, and all were deep signals that were beyond the reach of my stock coil. I got a 1915 Wheat, a 1903 Indian and a French 1889 Exposition Medal that was beyond the foot mark. Dumbo is a keeper- I can't wait to rescan all the hunted out parks! Here are the link to the Exposition medal

Cool medal. Love the indian head. I must have dug over 100 wheats and have yet to find a single Indian Head, go figure :thinkingabout:

Mike! Most indians read in the junk range. I dug all deep and questionable signals.
