I know to be careful when slidding the battery pack in, and I am.

However, recently DURING few hunts, hunting for an hour or more or less, out of nowhere all of a sudden my machine read voltage overload and turns off, turn it back on and it reads and does the same thing. If I take the battery out and put it back in, sometimes it works fine, other times, I have to switch out battery packs to get it to go again.......anyone else experience this or have ideas/suggestions? :dontknow:

Try using your aa battery pack and see if it does it. You could have a bad cell in the rechargeable :dontknow:

I have 2 different rechargeables, and it happens with both.

The first time it happened, I had just charged one, I reached my destination,I slowly slid it in an it overloaded immediatly. I freaked out. I remembered I had a back up in the car so I found that. I slid it in. Turned on and away I went. A few check points later, in the middle of hunting, it overloaded and turned off. So I do not think it's the battery pack.

I had no problems this weekend with it.
