Out on Saturday and noticed I was digging a 12-45 at 5 inches down and turned out to be a penny. Normal?? Oh, snagged a large cent in TTF which hit around 1-30. Very happy about that.

I guess it is normal....I just did some research. Probably should have done that before posting..

I think it's odd too. I have been experiencing that. >{ You get your hopes up for something good....and it's a penny >:{

Don't feel bad. It happens to me all the time. I hunt one park that has stinkin lincolns down to 5 and 6 inches and they ring up as 12-45's. It forces me to dig them because I can never be sure if it's a penny or a merc! :hammer:

Yep me too it is generally copper memorials that fall in that range that are sort of deep. But you gotta dig em if you want to find the silver! :(

I didn't set the video with enough tome to view my LC very well. Just posting to see if you can make out a date.[attachimg=2]
