I am new to this forum. I've been detecting since the 1970's. I used Whites detectors over the years but now have a Whites, two CZ Fishers, one F75 and Minelab. I probably need to thin the herd but I find that all have their attributes. I like to use whatever works and not so brand specific anymore. Just thought I would say hi...

I live in south central Illinois. My Minelab is an E-trac and it's pretty impressive even though I'm just starting to learn how it works. Thanks for the warm welcome...Marty

Welcome to American Detectorist, Marty!

I am originally from Flora, IL and also lived in Effingham for a spell. I did lots of hunting there in the 1980s.

Glad to have you here!
