Hello all,

Mark here from southwest VA, brand new to the site and hobby. Just ordered a new F4 a few days ago and can't wait for it to get here. I've been wanting a detector for a long time and finally pulled the trigger, now just trying to figure everything out.

Mark, welcome frome western MA. Glad to hear that you pulled the trigger. Great hobby, but watch out for the addiction. There is no cure except to do more detecting. Looking forward to your posts and you will find a great bunch of md'ers here with a lot of knowledge.

Welcome from Mississippi. Mark, I started this last May with a Fisher F4. I found 31 silvers with it. Its a great machine. Just got a new Fisher F75 Ltd. But would take nothing for the F4. Take your time, read the instructions over and over, practice and become one with the machine. Learn what it is telling you. Good luck. If you have any questions about the F4, PM me. HH

Thanks for all the welcomes. F4 got here today, been playing with it a lot in the house due to the white stuff on the ground outside. Supposed to be sunny the next few days so I should be able to at least get it out in the yard and play when this stuff melts.
