Well here's my December silver story lol ..........Yesterday I made it out to a park thats been pretty good to me this past summer. ;)
The finds weren't over abundant but I managed a few wheats and another silver for my year-end total :happydance01:
I got a little excited when I seen it was a 1916 Merc :shocked04: :happydance01:

What? There wasn't two Walkers in the hole with that dime?? Man, you are slipping! :daydream: I'm glad to see you can still get out though! This time last year we had a big ice storm. weather looks to hold the rest of the week too. I got out today for a couple hours in the drizzle and pulled a 1958 Canadian quarter (80% silver). I'm still shooting for 125 silvers before the end of the year. Only 5 to go and you are just one silver spill away from 125 yourself! :beerbuddy: Best wishes and HH, Dave.

Very nice old Mercury Dime, Tim! We'll just pretend that the D is worn off!

To this day I still have never found a 1916 Mercury Dime of any kind. :dontknow:

I'm glad that you are still able to hunt up there. Keep adding to that amazing silver total as long as you can! thumbsup01

Congrats on the December silver, last year on New Years Eve day I dug a 1916 Merc, the back was too muddy to tell if a mint mark was there so I put it in my pouch until I got home. All the rest of the hunt I kept thinking about it and trying not to rush home to check it out ....well we know the answer but hey it was fun dreaming!

Isn't December silver sweeter?!

At least you're out there, I'm so busy at work I can't even thing straight much less get out to dig in the dirt. I just don't think you should even bother posting unless it's a half or multi-silver coin spill....... :poke:

Congrats on #111!!!! :cheering: Man... how sweet would a D have been for 111?
Sooner or later a D is going to show up on a 1916 for someone here. I've dug two 1916's this year, one plain and one something. I'll have to look at that one again. It's pretty worn but I think something is there. :thinkingabout:

Get out there and grab #112.

Nice goin! I've got no numbers such as that, but I have managed to find some silver now and again along with the occasional interesting find.

Have a great Christmas! Dirt down here in Baltimore is still soft and excellent for digging. They say we'll have a mild winter, so I plan to hunt as long as it holds out.
