View Full Version : COLONIAL CORN FIELD HUNT with SNIFFY*COPPERS & SILVER

Got out with Jesse (sniffy) back to a Corn field we got permission to hunt last year.This field had a homesite in many moons ago.we pulled quite a few buttons,silver and coppers out last fall.The field was turned and today gave up some more keepers.
I got a handful of buttons,a 1916 merc,a 36 buffalo,2 wiped out coppers.one is a smoothie & one i think is a woods hibernia probably 1723 based on the bust.
***the coin to the left is a woods hibernia i dug a few months ago for reference***

this field always produces.too bad all the fertilizers & cow manure he spreads every year are awfully rough to the coins as you tell.Jess did well too!

Those buttons are really artistic. What kind of target density were you working in? Must be a nice break from trying to sort through cellar hole lips.

umm :thinkingabout: can you translate that into english? :confused: there is everything from aluminum cans to iron in this field if that's what you mean? :dontknow:

Very nice finds there Dave. Ya gotta love a field that keeps on producing. Did you recheck the hole that the merc came out of for the &quot:grin:
