Got two very nice Army buttons yesterday. The large one appears to be a hat badge. Great looking seal on the large one. I believe del mentioned in another post that the oldest they can be is around 1903. I think this is when they started using the Great Seal. Thanks for looking. HH

PS The large one is still a little damp from cleaning.

No idea who wore them. Came from a vacant lot where a house once stood. Found them about 20 ft apart.

nice! the large one is definitely from a dress cap.my Dad used to have one
