View Full Version : ANOTHER DRAPED BUST LARGE CENT 1803

went back to 2 old pounded sites and worked them for 8 hours.not many targets left but I squeeked out a few keepers.
The Lid with holes in it and the cloak or dandy button were amongst a ton of nails on the cellar hole lip.a real old pocket knife. the floral one piece button has a Ive's Scott co superfine backmark and the beat 1803 draped bust large cent was in the trail going up to a second cellar hole. 9 1/2 coppers on the new year.what a great winter it's been.watch it fella's the ticks are still active! >:/

Some nice hunting Dave. The dandy button has a real nice design on it. Not even the end of February and you already have 9 1/2 coppers. Congrats.

smashed flat aluminum thimble and the thing over the knife is just a piece of thin stamped brass looks like it was tube shaped at one time.now its just flat

Dave, I have family in Torrington and the summer off! I hope we can hunt together soon. I never heard of the Scott Co. Nice keepers!
