Well I set out on a mission today. I returned to a park that I know is old and holds the goodies but don't like giving them up easily! \:hammer:
In the past I've found Barbers, V nickles, IH's, and the occasional wheatie. But this place is LOADED with trash! :hairpulling: >{ So I set out on a mission to dive in! I went right to some of the trashiest places that I knew of and went to work! I dug a lot of trash! There was so much trash in these spots, that even the holes that did produce coins, still produced a least one other piece of trash along with it!* :hairpulling:

But I managed to avoid the dreaded Silverless Drive Home of Shame again! <:

I managed to pull 7 wheaties, a 1899 IH, a 1936 Merc, and a nice .925 silver ring! <: Plus quite a few pennies in the early 60's. So someday I'll have to go over that area again  The silver ring was squished pretty bad when I dug it up. I just slid it down my finger thumbsup01 and got it pretty round  lol till I got it home and got it on my mandrel thumbsup01

The .925 mark is so small I can barely read it even with my loupe :shocked04:stretcher:

So I'm pretty happy with my outcome! I defiantly know what the pros mean about going slow in the trash! Wow! Talk about a bombardment of sounds!  lol
Thanks for lookin' & HH everyone! :groovy:

Tim, yeah the pros say ya gotta remove the trash to get to the good stuff. Looks like you dug your share of the trash and you got some good keepers, congrats.

Wow, that is alot of trash, but your finds are awesome! All that trash might scare away a less dedicated detectorist. Keep workin' it, I'm sure there's a lot more good stuff there.

Very respectable hunt, Tim! I've hunted places like that too, it's hard work but usually rewarding. I think many other detectorists avoid trashy places like that, which means there are often goodies lurking amongst the junk.

Nice Indian Head and Merc! The silver ring straightened out really nice, it looks great now!

Good job, I'd take a hunt like that any day! thumbsup01

Might have been tough hunting... but you pocketed quite a few worthy keepers.
A Merc and IH always keeps me smiling. :clapping:

It sure is nice when a nice tone busts it's way through the trashy sounds. :smitten: Congrats. :clapping:
