Just wanted to say HELLO to everyone, i am from Saxonburg, Pa. (north of Pittsburgh) and enjoy this forum very much. I was detecting an old foundation today in the woods and didnt find much but i did manage to bring something home with me a TICK that was climbing around on my wrist  hate those things. I bought a V3i about a year ago and like it allot, took a while but i think im finally getting the hang of it. I see allot of good information on here and allot of nice finds. Looking forward to reading all your posts

Hi Del,
So far a nice 1901 Barber dime from around that foundation i was referring to along with a 1897 IH penny and some old Wheaties. Believe it or not the Barber was on top of the ground under a few leaves :shocked04: couldnt believe it. I've pounded that place with 3 different size coils, tough hunting jagger bushes and junk. I have a few other places in mind in the town of Saxonburg built around 1832 but i have to get permission first. I've found allot of clad and relics but I love finding those old coins and i love hunting old foundations and cellar holes too.
Thanks for the welcome
Good Luck and Good Hunting !!

Hey Digger :groovy:
Welcome to the forum from the cornfields of Illinois!
I'm glad we don't have a tick problem around here. I know when we go up north to Wisconsin in the spring and summer times I'm like the worlds biggest tick magnet! >:# >{ I hate those things too!
Glad to have ya! Can't wait to see some of the great finds your bound to make out in your part of the country! :->
