I don't even know where to start!

Today I had the opportunity to hunt for a longer period, which was great seeing as I was yearning to spend a good amount of time at the old park.

The previous four hunts at the park - March 8th (http://www.americandetectorist.com/forum/index.php?topic=9163.0), March 9th (http://www.americandetectorist.com/forum/index.php?topic=9175.0), March 10th (http://www.americandetectorist.com/forum/index.php?topic=9181.0), and March 13th (http://www.americandetectorist.com/forum/index.php?topic=9227.0) - yielded me a total of 27 silver coins, and now it yielded 9 more, for a total of 36.

Today's hunt was another exceptional one, and four of the nine silver coins are Trimes! I also picked up another seated half dime, dated 1857, a seated dime, dated 1872, a Barber dime, a merc, and a very worn Spanish silver.

Here is one of the Trimes embedded in a clod of soil.

And here is another one.

The half dime is another beautiful specimen, with full liberty and a sharp date.

The seated dime was in the hole with a piece of iron. The reverse of the coin has a rust stain on it.

It's too bad the Spanish reale is so worn. Still, they sure are fun to find in any condition.

The Indian Head cents do not stand a chance in that soil. \:[ I picked up nine, and only one has fair details. The others are in various stages of corrosion.

lol Once again, I'm shaking my head in utter disbelief. It's like the last 40 years of detectorists simply haven't affected you. :clapping:

Seems to me you have locked in on the trime sound. A big congratulations Angel on another stellar hunt.

Your trime at this park has been very well spent. |)

Angel, your last post I commented that I didn't think that I had ever seen 3 trimes posted at once. Now you go and get 4. I'm speechless. 36 silvers in your last 4 hunts, WOW. All of the silvers look great, well the reales worn but what can you really expect. Its a shame the IH's tend to get toasted but at least your getting them. Some fantastic hunting and I can't wait for your next post.

Thanks everyone! The past several hunts have been a lot of fun.

Absolutly amazing :omg:

It's simple. Last Saturday John and I had been detecting together at an old park and we both hit on several tiny silver coins (Angel's Finds (http://www.americandetectorist.com/forum/index.php?topic=9181.0) - John's Finds (http://www.americandetectorist.com/forum/index.php?topic=9202.0)). That got me thinking that those could not possibly be the only small silver coins in that field, so I decided on future hunts at that park to focus on the tone and Fe/Co range of those particular targets. The surface trash and the iron in the ground made it challenging of course, but the effort paid off. :)

lol lol

Nah, no goal. :) As was the case last year when my detecting time took a major dive, I do not have a silver goal this year either. I just take them as they come when I am able to make time to go detecting. Besides, my focus when I do get out is on the older coins and Indian Head cents.

I definitely would be concentrating on that range of signals at the old parks down your way. They so tiny though, so the signals are not going to blow your ears off. :)

Simply amazing. :perfect10:

Think how many more of those tiny coins are there for you to find! I have no doubt that we are all walking over many such coins.

I would agree with Rob that you have natural talent, but that's not enough. Much more of it is skill and experience. Congratulations!

Congrats on all the trimes(one would go nicely w/my 1872 half-dime and make my year) so I'll have to keep looking harder!.....
