Hello and thanks..

The ring is a 11thc-14thc gold stirrup ring with a cobochon sapphire, the picture is how I found it, just sticking out of the ground. It was declared Treasure in 2008 and went through the Treasure act which took 2 years.
The Bowes Meusem in Yorkshire wanted to acquire it, but failed to raise the funds and it was returned to me in 2010, and I later sold it for £2500 split with the land owner.
