Been looking for 12 years for one of these, a Anglo Saxon Penny of Eadgar AD 959 - 972, Edgar the Peaceful, or Edgar was King of Northumbria,i n 963 he reputedly killed his rival in love, Earl Ęthelwald, near present-day Longparish, Hampshire.
Though Edgar was not a particularly peaceable man, his reign was a peaceful one, Edgar died on 8 July 975 at Winchester.

what is the MM size for the 5 pence??
Del...the five pence is 11mm, the Saxon pennies were struck on 20mm flans, as you can see mine has edge damage, so is rufly 18mm.
