I had always wanted to hunt my inlaws' yard because I knew that an old house had once stood there on the corner. I didn't know how my father-in-law would feel about it so I had never asked him. Today, however, he encouraged me to try my luck in his yard without me asking. And since I just happened to have my E-Trac in the car, well, I couldn't resist!

I immediately started finding several wheat cents, the yard seems to be filled with them. Then as I got near the corner I got a really sweet 12-46 signal at 6 deep. I couldn't believe it when a Standing Liberty Quarter popped out of the hole! My first SLQ with my E-Trac and my first one since 1988! I'm so glad to have ended that dry spell!

Not even a hint of a date but that's OK!

I asked Sydney to go get my video camera out of the car so I could get it on film.

Tony, glad to read that you have finally broken your SLQ dry spell. And I like the way that you just happened to have the ole etrac in the car. Great hunting and I hope you find many more.
