Went back to my new site at the weekend and found a nice 1st century Iron Age Brooch (Colchester Brooch) The brooch is almost complete apart from were the pin is missing, proberbly why the owner lost it.
Considering it's been in the ground for the best part of 2000 years, the integral bilateral spring and hook issuing from the back of the bow is still fully functional.

Also found a few Medieval Strap Ends...dating 13th-15 century. :shocked03:

2000 year old history, fantastic. The spring in working order, or still together is amazing. Congrats
