Last week I received permission to hunt an old school yard. All weekend I was dreaming this country school
might have been off the radar and would provide handfuls of keepers of Barbers, Mercs and the occassional IH for me and Ron.

Less than a half hour into the hunt I got the feeling this place will need to be treated just like any well hunted park. crying01
After wandering around the grounds for the first hour getting a feel for the site, I settled into the trashy spots listening
for sounds of hidden coins. Sure enough... a few popped up. :clapping:

We both ended with silver and wheat cents in our pocket, not as many as we hoped for... but sometimes that's how it goes. lol
As you all know, we have to keep trying spots. Sooner or later the next honey hole might reveal itself.

Two silvers is better than one... or none! It seems like there should be some older coins there, perhaps even some Barbers. Do you plan on hunting it again, Joe?

It seems that thre are very few sites these days that are off the radar. :-\

Congrats. Those silvers are nice. If the school was 1915 there should be some older silver, hopefully.

Nice hunt! Most schools no matter how remote, how hidden or how long gone have been hunted in the past if not pounded in the past. I still try them as you proved you can always pull out a few more, WTG!
