This past Sunday John (midas) called me late in the day to meet him at a site he was working at the time. I was reluctant at first seeing as it would be a bit of a drive and there was less than three hours of daylight left. But the desire to swing the coil won me over. Anyway, it was a good decision, as I managed to dig up a few wheat cents, a 1884 Indian Head cent, part of a cufflink, and a couple of silver coins, a 1886 seated dime and a 1944 mercury dime.

Today I needed to unwind, so late in the afternoon I headed to a local site to detect for a while. Being at the park wasn't as pleasant as I had hoped due to recurring showers, but the finds more than made up for the unpleasantness. On this hunt I picked several wheat cents, four crusty Indian Head cents, and three silver coins, a 1920 mercury dime, a 1912 Barber dime, and a low mintage 1874 seated quarter.

Between you and Randy I'm wondering if maybe my detector is faulty somehow, or if my headphones are lacking, or maybe I'm swinging the wrong end of the detector... Just amazing as always! Congrats!

But the desire to swing the coil won me over.

lol Such a strong gravitational force. I succumb quite often.

The short hunt on Sunday was worth the drive. I love when Seated coins show up with an IH.

Awesome bunch of keepers today too. Especially the quarter. :smitten: Those are some rough IH's.
Sure makes me appreciate the soil here.

Congrats Angel.

I would be smiling for a month if I ever found a seated quarter! It's nice to see one posted here that isn't an 1876 or 1877, although there certainly isn't anything wrong with finding one of those either!

Congrats on the great bunch of finds, Angel! <: happydance02 :clapping:
