I found a old coin purse this Saturday while hunting a farm house that is on one of the farms my cuz rents. It sounded a little like a nickel signal but read nothing like a nickel. I was just thinnking that I had no nickele signals in this yard, got this one that was close to a nickel sound and even tho I was tired after 6 1/2 hours decided what the heck. What a thrill and boy am I glad I did, I recoved the coins real slow enjoying it as long as I clould make it last. It realy makes a person wonder what he misses, this is my second old coin spill of the year and neither one was a good enough signal to think it was something good.

Does anyone know when they started to use the snap type coin purse?? It could help age this find.

ps.. This is just a pic of the old coin purse find, I will clean them up and post all the finds for the day later. Happy mothers day.

WOW! Well I see a V nickel and an Indian cent so the purse has got to be at least 90 or so years old!! Great find!! Hope you can post the coins cleaned up later.

Super find, can't wait to see the coins all cleaned up! I would check the old turn of the century Sears catalogs to compare coin purses in those catalogs to yours to help determine its age. :clapping:
