cast soldier toy from 30's?

I found the item below at the 1915 hotel site I have mentioned before. I'm hoping someone can give me some info on it or at least an approximate age. It is definetly one piece cast of some kind (iron?). The details show a drummer with knicker style stockings and what looks like a ruffled shirt. I'm thinking fife and drum colonial looking. Obviuosly the head and left arm are missing. It is heavy and about 2 inches tall. I would think it is cast iron, but I don't know if that would have rusted or not. It's actually pretty clean given it's age. No visible markings. I was thinking perhaps somewhere between 1930's and 1940's? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Stan , lead soldiers aren't my specialty , but it looks a little older than the 30's

Could be. The hotel was opened in 1917 so ....Shame the head was cut off. It has been off for awhile as that part of the toy is rounded smooth.
