It has been over two weeks since I've posted any finds. I haven't been hunting much because it is so dry here, and HOT! It has been in the mid to upper 90s the past four days. Doesn't exactly make for pleasant hunting conditions.

These finds were made after work on May 14 and 15. Yep, I found another pump organ reed. lol

The only halfway decent coin I found was this 1896 Indian Head. It is really worn but at least it's not toasted too bad. Number 67 for the year.

Also found these four common date wheat cents:

I found this old dog tag in a park. It reads: &quot:grin:shocked04:g License - 1920 - Jersey County, Ill. - 320 Jersey County is over by St. Louis. I found the tag in Douglas County, a long way from Jersey County.

Some kind of toy gun. I'm not sure why the grip part of the gun is shaped that way?

Thanks for looking and happy hunting!

Nice finds Tony especially the green Indian and your 1950's ( or possibly older) era squirt gun . I remember seeing those when I was a kid . The pistol grip for those was a soft rubber bulb and it worked like a cooking baster would . The end of the bulb was made to fit into those two rings you see where the grip should be .
The bulb was about the size of a Pheasant egg perhaps just a wee bit smaller .You got about two squirts just enough to get someone's attention lol. Thanks for bringing back an old memory Tony . |:cheering:

Mid to upper 90's keeps my machine resting comfortably in the air conditioning. I'd have to be on one
heck of a nice site to be hunting in that kind of weather.
We have a very nice forecast for this week. <: Highs in the upper 60's and lower 70's. Hope you guys are in for
a cool down too.

You pulled out some great keepers before the heat set in. :clapping: Congrats.

Thanks for the info, Sheik! I never would have guessed. You are right on the money though! I found a very similar one on eBay:

TODAY, last week, is there really a difference..... rofl. Detecting in that type of heat is really bad, sweat in your eyes, sweat dripping off of the bill of your cap, yet some people like me will continue on. The thought of one more treasure.......

Congrats on getting the keepers, nothing lke a green IH and the squirt gun is really cool.
