Nice cabinet lee... but just an off-topic comment. I can tell from the floors in your house that I would LOVE that house!!! I want a house like that! What year was it built?

1775 epi , with original floors , oak beamed cellings , a granite sink ,all brick built , and secret passages up the wazoo (ive found 4 so far). its called the captain john francis house and is in the historic district of old wethersfield ct. ohh and a grave stone in the garden dated 1662 :huh:thinkingabout:
its got a bit of history behind it to , captain john was the man who lead the first 100 troops to boston to face the english.
his farther james francis was a well known builder of brick houses in wethersfield and both james and john are buired in the wethersfield cemetery 1/4 mile from my house.
i put flowers on both graves each month as a sort of thank you, is that a bit silly ? , i dont know, but just think 250 years after thay died some one is still remembering them , thats more than i or anyone could ever hope i think.

Oh man    What a house! I spotted those floors right off. You don't really want it, do you? I'm sure you want to sell it, right? lol

I think it's a nice gesture with the flowers. Very cool! :clapping:

Would love to see photos, thanks!

As far as detecting there, don't temp me  It is a dream of mine to own a house with that kind of history, though. I always seem to end up in suburbia. :crying02:

I think it's beautiful, Lee, and you sure can't beat the price! Agnes looks right at home! thumbsup01

Now you just need to get all of the shlves filled up!

Your house sounds spectacular! I am fascinated by old homes and buildings. Here in Illinois it is rare to find a building older than the 1850s.
