I ventured out this afternoon to a park I hunted once last year with meager results.

Todays hunt started out much the same way until I wandered across a Wheat cent. Focusing my efforts
in this small area, I quickly started popping targets. :happydance01: Keeping the coil moving painfully slow is tough
for me, but doing so produces amazing results in trashy ground. :smitten:

I doubt I'll wait another whole year before returning to this park. lol

Joe, slow and low is the way to go. Great bunch of keepers you got there. I agree with Angie, that park needs some more attention.

Now THAT'S how it's done! thumbsup01

Very nice hunt, Joe! Three Mercs and a Barber make for a fun day of detecting! I find that it's much easier to go really slow when coins like that are popping out of the ground!

It's so incredibly dry here now that my hunting will be greatly reduced unless we get a significant amount of rain. :-\

Congrats on the terrific keepers! :clapping:

congrats on all those silvers and wheats i also find it hard to go slow i still have my mindset when i had a whites 6db and the 6oood you had better results by swinging the coil faster again great hunt dennis
