im looking at one of these from a local seller asking $80 for it

and i know its better than my bounty hunter because of the notching capabilities but $80 is alot of money for me.

i guess my question is
first does anyone have experience with this machine or similar ?
second whats your impression on depth and weight?

should i pull the trigger on this baby at $80 or keep watching?

i have until friday to make a decision hes moving.

i've never had a garret so i'm not familiar with them , that looks like an older model though . did he tell you about how old it was and is it in good working order , to bad you could't try it for a few hours first as that would give you a better idea about the purchase.

sorry i couldn't be more help :-\

im trying to barter with the guy without disrespecting him, but he says its in good working condition and my research says it 1994. im actually going to try for it tomorrow if he wants to give it to me for a ridgid cordless drill, i wont be able to give him cash anyway.

the short and skinny

this machine is old but it has been branded a general use detector and coin lover.
it has auto ground balance when its switched on, so this may be useful i suppose
17 notches of discrimination
gta battery pack is detachable for hip mounting
average depth claimed to be eight inches on a silver coin 6 on clad.

im going to call the guy tomorrow and report back, maybe im a proud new owner :clapping:
