I am leaning toward a Diplomatic button. Can you see anything in the shield?
Gents, the button is brass. That is a shield on the eagle's breast. I can see no markings on the reverse.
Don't count it out yet. I'm by far no expert.
Is it brass, lead or pewter? What does the back look like? Do I see a small anchor on the shield? It could be an Official and Diplomatic Service button,
