Shield Nickel! :thumbsup01: We got out early again this morning to a 1740s house we were invited to detect. Mike and I were hitting memorials at 7".... The homeowner then tells us the property was graded and new fill added in the late 70s.:hairpulling: Anyway, managed this Shield nickel and that was it. The shield side is toast.
The town Mike and I have been concentrating on is pretty old. We stopped at a antique yard sale at a 1700s house, had a nice conversation with the homeowner. He is like the mayor of the town. He knows all the old homes and the people who own them. He promised us at least a half dozen properties to detect some going back to the 1600s! Gonna be one hell of a ride! :)
