Very nice and interesting item Todd , is it hollow with both open ends ??
Very nice, silver is always a welcome sight.
Sweeeet find. Do you think those are initials??
That's a beautiful find, Todd! I agree that the initials appear to be PB. What a neat piece of history!
:congrats:
Its a bit smaller looking for a cane in my opinion Todd and a cane would be an unusual thing to find on a muster field , but I can see it having more merit as a personalized piece to an officer's riding crop

or even a powder shot measuring cup . Can you post a close up of the initials , i'd like to see the detail and craftsmanship in the writing.
Dan
I don't think a powder measure, but maybe a crop or some other personal item. look at the small markings after the initials. Esquire ?Attachment 54203Attachment 54204Attachment 54203Attachment 54205

That's very cool!
Pretty darn nice.
Damn, how'd I miss this from your original post. Anyways, great find Todd!
Nice find. I wonder if it would ever be possible to find out who it once belonged to, from the PB initials.
sweet piece of silver~!
