I'll take a stab here as no one has jumped in. If the E-Trac were an analog machine I might have it checked out and tuned. But even then, unless you are experiencing problems why chance the shipping? Does your E-Trac hit coins at depth still (test garden or in the field test)? It is a digital machine, not always, but usually, when there is a problem you know it.
If you think there may be a problem then send it in and describe the problem thoroughly. Otherwise, no way would I spend money and take a chance on sending it in. Just my opinion and others may feel the exact opposite and I wouldn't disagree with them.
