I have played around with metal detecting for years, but never got serious about it. Now that I'm semi-retired I'm going out every chance I get, but I'm still essentially a newbie. I'm looking for someone in the Oregon/Washington area to show me the ropes. If not, I'll rely on this forum and watching videos on the subject. But either way I'm having fun.
