Sweet button, congrats!
That's a great find. I'm curious about the story.
What a wonderful button....if only it could tell it's story!
UNREAL!!!:shocked03: Big congrats!
I locate civil war home sites here where I live thur research. I have been reseaching a area for awhile and finally got permission. We pulled into the field and my buddy spots a piece of dish (blue feather) so we know its game on . 20 minutes later this beauty pops out. It gave up a few flats and lead but it was a poor site. A lot of the sites here are like that I'm looking for that rich dudes house lol. Nice high sandy hill in the middle of a field perfect spot for a homesite I got my eye on a few sites in the same area where a church was that should be a good one if I can hit it.
Just to find a button from the Civil war era is a great find but to find one of the few Confederate types is huge ! Who was the lucky dog that found it CD you or your digging buddy ?
me my friend and got it on video too.
That is one awesome button! Congratulations!
Great find Calabash! Looks like you might be able to pull a maker's mark off the back.
