thats a merc?
I was able to hunt a 1930's house I helped paint and I was able to yank four 1940's wheat pennies.
Then I found a 1000 pesos, in the outfield of an old baseball field. Although 1000 current pesos is worth 75 dollars, this is not a current pesos currency which was revamped in 1993 making this coin only worth 8 cents. It'e nice and heavy though!
I went back to where I found the silver quarter and found, and pulled out some what I think is native copper, it was dark green until I sand blasted it and realized it was a hunk of copper.
The corroded mercury dime was in fresh sand fill that was just laid in alley construction project. I assume the sand was dredged straight from the mississippi river channel, and that is why it is so far gone.
The two pence was a gift from my boss who found it in a car he was junking out.
It was raining today so I went back to where me and marine dad did well that one day. I found the 1890 indian head, the flat silver ring, an asian hole coin, and a TON of junk!
