Lone find from a NH dig - 10/18

Ok, I lied. I dug an escutcheon plate from a piece of furniture too, but didn't bother with a pic.

Met with some friends in southern New Hampshire for a group dig. 9 or 10 of us, including a shop owner from Colorado who drove for 3 days to experience a few days cellar hole hunting. Sunday was a tough day for us, and the most gnarly place I've seen anyone settle. We hiked up to a smallish, level area.
The cellar hole and barn/pen were fine, but after that the fields and walls had been established up a steeper, rockier hill wherever they could clear flat enough spots.
Clear signs of the cellar hole being hit, so we spent time cleaning out a lot of fallen trees, and that helped. It's a lot of people for a smaller site, so it all happened quick.

Since it was so light, and the glass so small, we guessed it was a compass. But it's a watch. I spent a couple days rinsing it out. I think it says Paris below the post for the watch hands. I haven't done any research on it yet.
