Back to the button house
Went back to the button house today site today & well pulled more buttons as well as the smallest buckels I've ever seen. Any ideas what they were used for? Well over a 100 buttons have been pulled here between Frank & I.
Was glad to see my 2nd copper FTY today, as beat up CT but was glad to get an ID.
HH!

Those are really small buckles. No idea what they would be used for? Keep stockings up? Button mania!!

That's an old site!! That thimble is old...as well as those tombacs! It amazes me how the CONN on those coppers is ALWAYS there...no matter how beat up they are.
My first thought was that little buckle was a 19th cent French style pant's buckle/tightener

but the pin seems more substantial on yours...and maybe all iron?
You have such a wonderful site there! Congrats!!!

Wow, great finds! Love the tombacs. They are in great shape too. My buckle book thinks your buckles may be for garters.Attachment 67837

Thanks Guys! It's an amazing site I only wish I knew what went on there, must be some interesting stories.

Yeah, Dave's example is shaped more square like yours and curved like yours.

More nice finds Rebel. I'd love to know the history of that site.
