Pro Pointer Falsing Reduction Mod

I made what appears to be a nice, simple mod to the Garretts Pro Pointer which has so far basically eliminated the falsing from bouncng/bumping the wand into something, such as the hole. You know those sponge washer-like things that the CDR and DVD bulk packs come with to aid in dampening the disks during shipment? I've taken one of the thicker ones(my DVD packs had three in each pack, 2 are thicker) and worked one thick one into the bottom, inside of the battery pack cover of each of the two Pro Pointers I own. Screwed it down and tried pinging the wand purposely, and found very little falses. Probably doesn't eliminate the false when pressing hard, but that's rare for me anyway to begin with.

I just knew those cushion washers had a good use somewhere, and I believe I've found my best application today. Maybe this idea will help someone here. martin withmartin
