Carved 11th Corp Badge

Going through my brothers relics I found several interesting pieces but I like this one the most. It is an 11th Corp, Army of the Potomac badge or pin if you will. And, it has been carved to look like the man in the moon with the initials J and H. It is about the size of a quarter.

That's an awesome find. I dug Civil War sites for 10 years and really wanted to find a Corp Badge. That could have been made out of a silver coin.

I have seen many Corps Badges made from Seated Dimes.

This one is about 3/4" tall. Maybe a quarter?
