How cool is that, congratulations.
Wow. Ask that cashier for all her change  Not very often has an Indian Head appeared in change. Great find.
great find for this time of the year didnt even have to dig congrats
Wow! I always check my change also, have never received an Indian Head! That's awesome!
'Awesome!! My daughter used to find a lot of the coins she has collected when she worked in a bowling alley when she would cash out the draw at the end of the night. The best of it is that there was no digging involved. Congrats. Safe & HH
Wow, when I was younger I used to find a lot of wheats , silver and an occasional War nickle. I never found an Indian penny.
That must have shocked the heck out of you.
congrats on your FIND
Sweet! I've never got one of those in my change. Course, I have to be honest, I usually check the dimes and quarters and don't pay a whole lot of attention to the pennies.
Great score on finding and Indian in circulation :thumbsup01:
Only a detectorist would noticed this...haha
Nothing wrong with that! I got a silver dime last week and a cashier at the Mcdonald's handed me a war nickel awhile back.

WTG on a great save. Sadly someone probably took it from a coin collection. I have heard though that coin clubs will release coins in the hopes that it will spark an interest if someone gets one in their change.
Great recovery. I also check all my change. Looks like the change drawer treats your coppers very nice.....:lolsign:
Tis the season when people cash in change. Nice find Wisconsin Digger
That is so awesome. I would be thrilled to receive that in my changeback. When I was a bank teller in the early 80s, I used to love when people would deposit their rolled coins. I would personally verify each roll for accuracy and buy out any of the older wheats and silvers that I could find.
I think the best "find" I've gotten as change is a $5 silver certificate.
That is just awesome! I get excited on wheat pennies from the cashier. An injun is very rare.
That's a good surprise find!
My better than normal wheats: I've received a few buffalo's in my change, the occasional silver roosie and Wahington Quarter, a few steel wheats, many silver halves (I always try scanning the cashier's drawer) I even scored a Franklin a few years ago)...but never an indian
However, there is a local gas station that has an older $2 bill in their drawer..it's actually their emergency switch, when it's pulled, it trips their alarm...so they don't give it out. There's no telling how many people have asked for it....I know I have, that's how I found out, and it's been in that drawer for years.
Always fun to make finds in your change:) A few years ago my brother went to Boston and when he got back told me he got some coins in change i could have. He had a 1905 barber dime 2 indians and 5 wheats. I thought maybe i need to go check out those stores:lol:
