Vacation finds
Last week my family and I went to our cottage in northern Michigan for our summer vacation. I have found many great items in the past but this year was a bit sparse but we still had a lot of fun. I managed one lone silver Rosie which was found in a gravel parking lot. Also got a very nice 1881 indian. My oldest boy found his oldest coin an 1893 indian...he was very excited about that.

As for the relics I found the side plate to an old pocket knife (I think anyways) that was in 3 pcs. My youngest boy found a shot musket ball and I found a smaller one. He also found a pretty neat old square nail.
The Navy button is a 2 pc with a steel back that is nearly all rusted up. Does anyone know how old it might be? I'm thinking early 1900s.

The spoon looks like, what we call here, a sugarspoon. For the sugarpot.

Some nice digs Bucknut. That pocket knife piece might actually be part of an old straight razor. Cool stuff!

My Son found 4 Washington quarters in one hunt and I still could not get him interested in the Hobby.. Glad to see your kids have an interest. Great finds WD
