Congrats on a nice looking old walker!:) I haven't found a half yet this year!:detecting:
Congrats on a great one , loved the picture progression .
Congrats! Beautiful to see a walker half recovered!
Congrats! It's a nice early one too!
Nice 1917-S. A pretty early one. I'd like to find one of these sometime.
And it's a nice early Walker too! I love the photos of the coin. Nothing like the sight of big silver in the dirt!
Isn't it wonderful that such coins are still out there waiting to be found?
:congrats:
It takes some real self control to not knock a little dirt off to see what kind of half it is. At the point I took the dirt pics I still didn't know exactly what I had. Reaching for my camera instead of my water bottle, so I can clean the coin, takes discipline!

Tony, You just summed up my whole philosophy when detecting. I think this not only in general, but even when hitting that yard that's been pounded for the umpteenth time.
Thanks for all the comments guys!
Oh boy! That's sooo exciting! Nothing better than large silver....and an early one! Congrats!!
Congrats on a great looking Walker. Nice old one too. We usually see them from the 40s :congrats:
Excellent coin! Walkers are among the most beautiful of all US coins in my opinion.

Sweet!
Congrats! Great looking walker! I always rub the dirt off... I have no self discipline
Nice early walker. I think those are the nicest looking halves
