Congrats on the great finds! Love the Valentine's Day rosette !!!!!!!
Love the Barber quarter! I think I have only found two ever.
Yeah I knocked that thin crusty layer off. Just barely touched it with a wooden kabob skewer and it just flaked away. Not very interesting underneath, didn't expose any fancy.
Wow you sure did....and a nice one! Congrats.
I guess back in the day they made small lead toy guns and cannons that you could actually fire. How would you like your little kid paying with one of this? :hystericallaugh: Here's a link:

Yes for sure! So pleasant to be hunting and not getting all sweaty and dehydrated. No ticks, ferns and underbrush are out of the way, minimal snow with ground not frozen in the woods. The early...
Multiple hunts and locations shown here. Dug my first complete Colonial shoe buckle since getting the Nox 800. Rang up as a 26. It swiveled flawlessly right out of the ground! Also found a nice knee...
Love that Mass militia button. It cleaned up nice! Can you show us the back? Congrats.
Very unusual! Congrats.
Incredible coin! Congrats. Does Germany have any laws like the UK where you have to report it, leave it behind etc.?
Just simply epic. Congrats! You've got three coins in that one spill that I have never found.
Very nice finds!!!!!!!
Nice work! I wish I could get excited about hunting on (or near) the beach. It just doesn't do anything for me. I'll take a cellar hole any day over the beach!
Potential update on this find. I was watching a detecting video on YouTube yesterday that showed an old silver signet style ring being dug and it got me thinking about one I had found many years ago...
Sometimes it pays to take a closer at your finds! I found this small silver plated item earlier in the summer but had never bothered to clean it until today. I almost tossed it! A light brushing...
Awesome congrats!
Thanks DO. That's a rabies vaccine tag dated 1962.
DEL you were right!
Update: the coin is slightly larger than a quarter and meets the specifications for halfpenny (25.85 mm in diameter), not a farthing. It's much smaller than any other...
Thanks Drew. My experience has been that this outer layer contains all the detail and is not just caked on dirt. Would you take that all off? I have Andre's pencils and it would take me two...
Good point Dan I guess I should check that. It's about the same size as a quarter and definitely smaller than any halfpenny or LC I've ever found. I just assumed it was a farthing because of its...
Hit a new field today and dug my first Woods Hibernia. It's a 1723 farthing and the flaking has started. I had never found one of those heart heal plates and today I dug two! What a beautiful New...
That is one amazing collection of finds. Boy I would love to find a 2R coin. Congrats!
After almost 10 years with the SE Pro I got a great deal on a Nox 800 and picked it up yesterday. I'm sure it will be a big learning curve but I'm so excited. Still trying to get my head around the...
I'm a New England woods and fields Colonial relic hunter but find myself as a fish out of water literrally...in Florida for the next week. I've actually never detected on a beach. I have my Minelab...
