Wow, don't recall coming across the fill between logs. Must be an old site. Never found an iron shoe buckle either. Too bad you didn't catch the ubiquitous spoon for an entire dinner set
Such an interesting find, Dave! It's been such a rewarding trip for you. Have your been posting vids of your adventures?
The shear amount of keepers you find is uncanny. You must dig every few minutes. How was your arm at the end of the day? Also, do you ask owners if anybody has detected before? Amazing!
Wow, Vito! You're much more handy than I am. I'd never think to move the whole thing.
Alas, I went out today with 3 or 4 inches on the ground and it felt heavy. Maybe I'll try 3/4 lb.
WOW!!! Such a wonderful find! Will you attempt to clean it? Let us know how you do it and what the results are. :congrats:
Hey everyone,
Still snowed/covid in and was admiring Tim Illdigger's coin storage trays. Picked up a couple and started in.
These are my dateable Coronets, and most of my Barber/Seated silver....
Wow, tempus fugit. I forget...what detector did you swing back in the day...like during the depression when you started detecting
I personally appreciate everything you've done here at AD...
Welcome, Sharpshovel! Glad you found us. Sounds like you have lots of experience. I know everyone will be interested to find out more about your gear etc and would love to see some past...
We do need to have a Roomba type detector so this would be all for naught.
I remember taking it out of the box and swinging it in my living room for the first time, telling my wife, "well I don't like this."
After some hunts my forearms hurt until I read others were...
I remember Dan's DFX looking rear end heavy.
You hooked it up so your back took the weight?
Hey everyone!
I've tried a number of solutions to balance the Equinox and have settled on a 1lb diver's weight. Using the strap, it feels as good as my T2 now. What are you all doing?:thinkingabout:
 I didn't think to look in my dog tags! Is that bottom one gold?
I know I'm not far from you, Jeff but we have the exact same conditions as Jared. I never think to travel toward the shore.
:hystericallaugh:
You made me look up dates on these things...they're newer than I thought. They were sold up into the 1930s.
:hystericallaugh:
I missed Noah's 2nd post
I'm no expert but I think those heart heal plates are 1800s ...I've heard all kinds of stories about them...example- women would want to "advertise services" by...
I can't find the thread, do you have the link when you posted it?
Yours is in good shape, Noah!
That love etching is in another league. What was that thread, Jeff?
See you in Spring!
WOW! Nice story! Great job with the return to it's town!:clapping:
 He holds the gun like a bass.
I loved Primus back in the 90s.
Kellyco told me yesterday 2/8 they do not an availability date on the 10x5 as yet.
