The 8x6 sef is definitely lighter then the stock 10DD coil. Of course it's a bit smaller too. I bought it as an intermediate size between my stock 10" DD and my 4x6 DD eclipse shooter coil.

I bought a 8x6 sef in december and have used it four or five times now. It is one of the black ones. I don't think they claim it's v-rated but on my v3i I can crank it all the way up to 15 with tx...
