    Re: 6x10 Has arrived !!

Swing that coil! You'll love the 6x10, it's my favorite for my DFX and the 4x6 shooter is my favorite for the Prizm IV... DD coils really are the best overall coils.

    The only trick is learning...
  3. Re: Darn Deep Hole, Funny PP Reading, No Luck!

This won't help you any, but on my DFX if it shows something at 4.5 yet the SignaGraph bar is almost full height then it's 99+% of the time a tiny piece of metal on the top of the ground.

Re: Uh Oh, A buddy bought a DFX

Lock it in the high freq mode and crank up the gain settings on it until it becomes unstable then back off a tad. Don't use the 3KHz freq when hunting gold and it may surprise you.

    Sure it won't...

    Re: V3i vs MXT Pro

I'm still partial to the DFX's Signagraph display and haven't figured out how to replicate that on the V3i. It sure does make a HUGE difference over the MXT for finding multiple targets in the same...

    Re: TDI Pro

I have a standard TDI, not the Pro, and I still haven't really learned it. I bet the machine doesn't even have 5 hours on it yet.

I really need to get off my arse and learn it.

Re: Original old 120 mm Bullseye problem.

First thing to check: The 9v battery connector. The contacts spread open after awhile and the wires can break. Wiggle them and see if the pinpointer goes crazy.

Next, open it up and check the...

I don't think it'll hurt anyone to mention the name of the forum we came from. I sent a note to a few folks running things here about us joining en masse.
  16. Share your finds with the manufacturers!

If you have a particularly great find, let the manufacturer of your metal detector know!

Some will reward you for your finds.
