Has anyone had knee replacement surgery and still metal detect? If yes, how has it affected you? How soon were you able to detect again?
Thank you for all your comments. Seeing the fox was really cool. In the 1980's I was detecting around an old homesite in Utah, near the Green River and a beaver came up behind me and ate my lunch,...
I have permission to return after Labor day.
Since Friday is the first day of the Memorial day weekend,it was the last day I had to detect at my friend's swim club. :( Started March 12, 2012 and finished today. My total's are 525 total clad and...
.i wonder if theres one for ct ?
Try this website: www.Arcadiapublishing.com. They may have something on Ct. I own 8 of their books, and always check them out when I visit B &N bookstores.
This may be a wild idea in a hobby where guarding the location of good sites is the norm. However, in this situation I feel that if someone can benefit from what I want to share, then...
I have been metal detecting my friend's swim club. I have until Memorial day weekend to finish. There are so many pennies that I have set up a program to ignore them, digging only dimes and quarters....
I have never tried TTF. The site I'm working will take me a long time to finish [months]. I work extremely slow, averaging 8 coins/hr. Perhaps I will try TTF in the future.
Mineralization is a strong possibility, but trash isn't a problem at all. Yesterday I dug the bottom of a light bulb and a rusted screw. 35-46 only occurred once though. I tried two different...
13-44 for me is usually a memorial penny, only rarely is it a clad dime.
Either a clad or silver dime.
They were all clad dimes and not very deep, maybe 4 inches or so, although they read 6 or more inches deep. Nothing else in the hole. :dontknow:. I dig anything with a Co of 46.
I started to get 35-46 the last time I hunted, when I moved 90 degrees it changed to 12-46. This occurred at least 6 times the last time I hunted. Any ideas why?
Thank you. Read the entire article. Helped me understand the DD coil.
What do you mean knife blade effect?
My Auvio headphones were under $50.00.
I use Auvio model # 33-283 with my e-trac. They work just fine. Plus I don't get the pain associated with wired headphones in my upper back and shoulders.
Not yet. Trip has been postponed until the Fall. Still researching.
I'm taking too long digging my finds. I'm having real difficulty pinpointing with my e-trac. >{ Can anyone offer some tips?
Hmmmmm. Now I am forced into a big decision...finish remodeling the half bath downstairs or buying another metal detector..... tough decision...
Retirement is great. We hunt everyday it doesn't rain. As I stated earlier my friend has a V3i like you do. I have found silver and he hasn't. >:# Getting back to Idaho, if I put a smaller coil on my...
My friend hunts with a White's V3i. And he has had trouble overcoming its learning curve. Would the White's machines you have suggested have a similar steep learning curve? With my e-trac,...
I have been invited to visit my cousin [both of us are retired |). I currently have used an E-trac and I am curious if they are effective in finding gold nuggets as they are finding coins....
Never get dejected. I have come home with zero[0] coins. Yet I am just as excited to go out the next time because I am convinced that at the bottom of the next plug I dig will be a worthwhile coin.
