Awesome find! How deep?
That’s an amazing spill! My epic MDing adventure would be to hunt in Germany where my Great Grandfather was born!
What part of the US are you in?
Trading posts can mean different things to different people and can refer to different types of places or establishments depending on your locale and/or the time period. I'm not sure where you are...
A very historic and an incredible find, I'm glad you saved it!
Thanks Drew! Good luck in 2021! Much more detecting time in 2020 was one of the silver linings for me in 2020!
Thanks Tony! It was a pretty exciting dig, I checked the hole like four times after the IH’s hoping for silver friends, but none were there! [emoji22]
I have been heading out in to the woods almost every day the past week. Here are some of the finds over that time. With 4-5" of snow on the ground this morning, the next hunt may not be for awhile....
Thank you! Yes, these woods are part of a public park that had a great deal of activity from the late 1920's to the 1970's, but not as much the past 40-50 years.
Thank you Tony! Yes, I have never found nor have I ever seen one of those Allis-Chalmers tokens before. Finding local tokens is always top of the list for me!
Thanks Drew! Trying to get a few more goodies while I can before the deep freeze!
It is amazing, that after years of detecting, what some people have found or not found, congrats on the first!
While the fields and most high and open areas are now frozen with 1-2"+ of frost, especially inland, I've still been able to find areas in the woods that are still perfect for digging. Here are the...
These were not white, but were a grey color similar to the color in the crevices as you see them now, until I ran them in the tumbler with a bunch of other lead for scrap. I just have never really...
Thanks Tim! I have found nothing yet except these bullets. This is old woods and has been public land in an urban area for 90+ years, so that is why I am asking for some ID help.
Thank you for the comments!

Can anyone help with age and/or type of bullets?
These are from a recent hunt at a site where I am trying so additional research and any info you can provide would be very helpful. This is not a...
Thanks Dan! It was a thrill to pull this out of the ground, thanks for the dating range!
Wow, it's like taking a virtual walk through a museum, awesome stuff and thanks for posting! Good luck!
Super finds! It was nice here as well, I am sure you guys had a great time, good luck on getting back out!
Very cool finds! I just drool every time I see the early 19th Century or earlier buttons. There are spots in Wisconsin to find these, mostly fur trade sites, but I have never been able to get...
Way to hit that spot and make the recoveries Drew!
I found this earlier this week (nickel for size ref). I believed it was a large sash buckle and it is made of quite thick Sterling silver. I was able to get help with an ID on another forum before...
I missed this posted, WOW! Incredible finds!
Those are all some awesome finds! I really like the old Canadian silver and the seated love token is killer!
