    August's contest challenge

    Hello all ,
this is the August Contest Challenge and is open to any forum member with atleast 10 posts and has been a member for atleast 10 days ...
it will last until August 27th , 5pm eastern time
only one guess is allowed by each member

good luck all and this is your August challenge if you choose to accept it

    here is the challenge ...

in this first picture is a gathering of buttons i've recovered metal detecting in the last 2 1/2 years , your job is to tell how me many buttons there are without going over the actual number . these buttons are of all types (1-piece , 2-piece and a few 3-piece) and from the very large to very small , there is one picture with a size reference that shows one of the larger and smaller buttons in the pile with a walking liberty half dollar.

here are some closeups of the button areas

    the prizes

remember the member with the guess closest to the correct number of buttons without going over will the win this main prize
and no its not all the buttons lol rofl rofl
the main prize is a very nice an atleast XF or better 1921 Morgan silver dollar

but i do have a consolation prize for the next member who guessed closest (over or under the correct number)...
a very nice XF Civil War era 1863 Army & Navy patriotic token

if a forum member just so happens to guess the correct number of buttons he or she will also win this dumb luck prize in addition to the morgan silver dollar .
an 1821 Spanish Mill dollar (8 reale)

again best of luck to the members (AD Staff included of course )

    What a collection!

Great contest... It's very nice of you!

    Let me think...

Difficult to count... I can see at least four hundreds of them at the first look... And it seems that there's a lot in the middle nder the top layer...

My guess... There is [glow=yellow,3,300][size=36pt]689[/glow] buttons on that picture!
