Hi guys, wondering if you could help me on some information. I found this cross the other day while detecting in a local park. I am not Catholic so I am unfamilar with the Saints and figures on the cross. There are four on the front and one on the back. Also on the front, just under who I think is Mary, there is a date of 1830. Can anyone tell me the significance of this date? I know its not when it was made but I have no idea. Thanks in advance. HH

Cody, I also am not a Catholic but I know that the 1830 is not the date of the medal. I believe that it is referencing an event that occured in 1830 that is very signficant in the Catholic religion. Most likely something to do with one of the saints.

I found the cross listed on Creed's web site. They call it a 4 way medal. Scapular, Head of Christ, Infant of Prague. It is list as number SS4000. Would still love to know what the date is about.

The Blessed Mother displayed herself inside an oval shaped frame, standing upon the world with various rings on her fingers shining rays of light. Around the outside of the frame were the words, “O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.”
